Garden and private heated swimming pool

The gîte is set within a large, fully enclosed garden with its own private heated swimming pool and pool house. With no nearby neighbours, the setting is calm and relaxed, ideal for families and guests travelling with dogs.

The pool house includes a comfortable day bed and coffee table, along with a dining table and chairs. There is also a fridge and storage, allowing you to stock up and spend the entire day outdoors if you wish. As evening falls, soft lighting creates a relaxed atmosphere for swimming, an aperitif or a barbecue beside the pool.

Comfortable and well-equipped interior

Inside, the gîte offers a warm and practical layout designed for easy holiday living. The kitchen-diner is fully equipped with oven and hob, microwave, fridge freezer, dishwasher and washer dryer, with plenty of space for preparing meals using fresh local produce from nearby markets.

The sitting room is spacious and comfortable, with three sofas, a 50” smart TV with British channels, a Bluetooth speaker, DVD player, books and board games. French doors open onto the rose garden, where a dining table looks out across open fields and trees. With very little light pollution, evenings are often filled with birdsong and excellent stargazing.

A private pétanque pitch sits alongside the garden, with boules provided for relaxed games before or after dinner.

Four bedrooms and three bathrooms

Le gîte de Pereyroux has four bedrooms arranged over two floors and sleeps up to eight guests.

On the ground floor there is a double bedroom with an en-suite wet room, ideal for guests who prefer step-free accommodation. Upstairs, high ceilings add to the sense of space throughout. The master bedroom has a queen-size bed and its own en-suite shower room, while two twin bedrooms share the main family bathroom.

A peaceful Dordogne Valley location

The gîte is set on the edge of the small village of Masclat and is within walking distance of two restaurant-bars, both popular during the summer months and often hosting live music.

For everyday shopping, the village of St Julien de Lampon is just five minutes away by car, with a butcher, baker, grocery shop, pharmacy and several restaurants. This is also where you can hire a canoe and spend the day drifting along the Dordogne River, passing châteaux and stopping for lunch in riverside towns. The river is wide and gentle in summer and suitable for all ages – dogs included.
